Medical technology: ETH Zurich researches for health
Our health system needs added innovation and a new generation of researchers. In collaboration with partners, ETH Zurich would like to drive medical technology into becoming a leading platform.
Over 40 professors are already researching in the field of medical technology at ETH Zurich in collaboration with PSI, clinics, the University and University Hospital Zürich.
ETH Zürich aims to expand these activities and strengthen its leading role in medical technology. In a cross-disciplinary infrastructure, research groups in the ETH centre will meet together and intensify their collaboration in joint research projects with industry, the University of Zurich and hospitals.
Aim:
– 6 new professorships
– new infrastructure and a building to act as a spatial nucleus
– a project fund for medical technology
Support will achieve:
– a larger pool of experts and added innovation
– more budding talent for research and industry
– enhancement of ETH Zurich as an international hub for medical technology
