Pioneer Fellowships: reaching the market more quickly

The "Pioneer Fellowship" grant supports researchers along the route from creating an invention to testing it for market feasibility.

Research often produces findings that are far removed from a market idea. With the new grant, young researchers are given funding to enable them to test their initial idea for feasibility. The Pioneer Fellowships are supported by the ETH Zurich Foundation and supplemented with ETH-internal research funds.

Who is entitled to a Pioneer Fellowship?

ETH Zurich graduates for around 18 months with research work that has market potential.

What does this support achieve?

– more innovation and added value for the economy
– ingenious inventions are launched on the market more quickly
